Brief biographical information:
In 1976 he graduated from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with a degree in Applied Mathematics and qualified as a mathematician. Has practical experience in the field of information technology. In 1976-1987 he worked in the computer center of the Lviv branch of mathematical physics of the Institute of Mathematics as a software engineer; senior software engineer; head of the production group.
In 1981 he defended his dissertation on "Optimal speed control of heating of elastic bodies with restrictions on thermal stress" in the specialty 01.02.04 "Mechanics of deformable solids".
In January 1988 he began his scientific and pedagogical activity as a senior lecturer at the Department of Technical Means of Economic Information Processing of the Lviv Institute of Trade and Economics. In 1990 he was transferred to the newly formed Department of Software Informatics, on the basis of which in August 2016 the Department of Computer Science was established. The academic title of associate professor of the Department of Informatics Software was awarded in May 1993.
In June 2017, he was elected to the position of Head of the Department of Computer Science.
After the transition to teaching, he continues his practical work on software development. He is a participant in the creation and support of the site of the environmental commission of the Lviv Center of the Shevchenko Scientific Society; a set of applications "TestMe" for assessing students' knowledge. He participated in the development and implementation of information projects in the system of consumer cooperation and LUTE.
Research interests: theory of algorithms, information systems design. Author of more than 110 scientific and methodical works, including 1 monograph, 3 manuals, 1 textbook.
