The Department of Commodity Science, Technology and Management of Foodstuffs Quality trains professionals in specialties: "Entrepreneurship, Trade and Stock Exchange Activities" (Bachelor Degree in specializations "Commodity Science and Trade Entrepreneurship", "Commodity Science and Examination in Customs Procedures" and Master Degree in specializations "Commodity Science and Commercial Activity", "Commodity Science and Examination in Customs Procedures"), "Food Technologies" (Bachelor Degree, Master Degree).

There are 13 lecturers at the Department, 100% of them work on a full-time basis, including: 12 lecturers with academic degrees and academic statuses - 2 Doctors of Technical Science, Professors and 11 Ph.Ds. in Technical Science, Associate Professors, among them there are 3 lecturers with unbroken record of scientific and educational work at the university for more than 20 years.

Material and Technical Facilities:

The teaching staff of the Department are constantly working on improving the material and technical facilities, in particular on updating the technical and visual means of the educational process, in order to increase the efficiency of the work of the higher educational institution. Research:

The scientific research at the Department of Commodity Science, Technology and Management of Foodstuffs Quality is carried out on the basis of modern problems of foodstuffs quality and safety. It is aimed at the practical use of the results obtained in the educational process, as well as their introduction into the activity of Ukraine’s industrial and trading enterprises. The Department has formed two Scientific Schools under the direction of Professor Syrokhman I. V.: Problems of Improving Consumer Properties, Foodstuffs Quality and Safety and Management of Foodstuffs Quality and Safety.

Educational Process:

The staff of the Department are purposefully and actively working on the educational and methodological support of disciplines, in particular, writing textbooks, monographs, manuals, reference notes of lectures and other types of educational and methodological literature. Read more in PDF format.

The staff of the Department periodically deliver open lectures, conduct scientific and methodological seminars, round tables to discuss actual problems of commodity science.

Occupational Guidance for Prospective Students:

Teaching and educational work at a higher educational institution is an integral part of training of highly skilled specialists.
