History
The Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business was established at the Faculty of Commodity, Management and Servicing in August 2016 according to the order of the Rector of the University No. 201/01 from 31.08.2016. Department is issuing the following specialties 241 "Hotel and Restaurant Business" and 242 "Tourism".
During the time of its establishment, the Department launched educational programs for Bachelors: "Tourism", "Medical and health tourism", "Organization of tourism and the hospitality industry", "Hotel and restaurant business", "Restaurant service and basics of food production" and for Masters: " Tourism", "Hotel and restaurant business".
Every year the Department organizes and holds International scientific and practical conferences "Sustainable tourism development on the facilities of partnership: education, science, practice", "Innovations, trends and challenges in the hospitality industry".
From the moment of its foundation until 2023 the Department was headed by Professor Bohdan Mizyuk, since 2023 - Professor Iryna Melnyk.
