History
The Department of Higher Mathematics and Quantitative Methods was established on August 31, 2016 on the basis of the Department of Higher Mathematics, the Department of Econometrics and Statistics and the Department of Economic Forecasting and Risk.
The Department offers the disciplines:
- Higher Mathematics;
- Higher and applied mathematics;
- Discrete Mathematics;
- Econometrics;
- Statistics;
- Economical and mathematical methods and models;
- Economical and mathematical modeling of economic processes;
- Economical risk and methods of its measurement;
- Mathematical methods of operations research;
- Mathematical models in management;
- Probability theory and mathematical statistics, probability processes;
- Financial mathematics;
- Numerical methods.
The department ensures the effectiveness of students’ education by introducing scientific research, practical experience, new technologies, modern computer equipment and software into the educational process. The Chair of the department is professor Anatoliy Ivanovych Pilyavskyy.
Since September 2020, the department has been staffed by:
